I'm wanting to get a folder (or is it need?) for a multimodal commute. Currently my wife drops me off in downtown Tulsa (15 miles away), then I either go to class, then take the bus to work (10 miles) or work then class. Three days a week, I do my best to make the last connecting bus that gets me that much closer to home (11 miles away at this point).
Any way, my first plan was to just use my current hybrid and get a trunk mounted rack for my wife's car. She shot that down. Her car is more a motorized purse than transportation tool, it seems.
That being said here's my criteria:
-Quick, relatively simple fold
-Prefer IGH, preferably more than 3 spds
-Don't have to remove the front wheel as part of the folding process ala Montague.
-Budget: the closer to '.' and the further away from ',' the better.
-Location is Tulsa OK. The brands available locally are Sun, KHS, and Giant (as far as folders go, that I know of).
I would appreciate any input. I would do more of my own research, but I've been neglecting my studies lately, so I've got to read a chapter each in Psych and U.S. History (current chapter covers WWI), then write an essay for Comp I...
