I am trying to adjust my lamp ~ trying to get it to blink on the lowest beam setting. I tried this:

1
Hold button for 6 seconds, then double click to turn on in steady mode.

2
Use single clicks to adjust beam strength to lowest.

3
Hold for 2 seconds to turn off.

4
Hold for 6 seconds, to switch back to blink mode, then double click to turn back on.

but for the life of me I can't get it to blink on low beam!

I wrote to Dinotte, but (unusually for them) they are not responsive. Can someone tell me where I making a mistake?

Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by blink on low beam? There is no brightness adjustment in the blinking modes on my 140L. There are 3 different blinking modes on my 140L. According to the Dinotte website the 400L taillight has the same settings as my 140L.

(1) Slow pulse- light is completely off then blinks at full brightness once per second.
(2) Steady light with strobe- light is always on a constant low setting, and blinks at full brightness once per second.
(3) Strobe and pause- light is always on a constant low setting, blinks at full brightness in a quick succession of 5 flashes, pauses for a while at the low setting, and continues the pattern.

See the 140L/200L quick user reference (the guide on settings should be the same for your 400L) here: http://www.dinottelighting.com/manuals/200L_INST_A.pdf

There's a 400L manual as well: http://www.dinottelighting.com/ManualsSpec.htm

Looks like there's no "low" blinky setting.
