Folding Bikes - did a forum search..but couldn't find an answer to these downtube mini questions...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i'm talking about the 2008 model.

1. i noticed the back wheel frame have some sort of black rubber? is that rear suspesnsion? if yes, does it also front suspension?
2. when the bike is folded...what is keeping the bike together (i.e. strap, magnet or what)? if nothing, would a simple bungee cord will do the deal?

thx in advance.

The Mini has rear suspension, but not front. Nothing is holding it together when it folds, but I'm sure you could use a bungee cord or something similar, if you wanted.

The answer to the suspension issue would've been found by visiting the Downtube website (or mine). A bungee does a good job holding it together. It's a great little bike.
