There's an extensive thread on this bike in the Touring forum. The consensus appears to be that most dislike it because of the sloping top tube. Personally I think it's OK, but the color is ugly.

That is screaming for some smooth 29" tires, kinda neat idea, there seems to be a bike for every kind of ride you could imagine.

Being a sweaty guy, the 6 bottles of water do sound good!

You can add two more bottles by getting a bottleholder for the saddle.

I like the concept of this bike. I wonder if the sloping top tube is more practical for a touring trail bike where you might need more clearance?

Surely the fact that the handlebar is higher than the seat is a good enough reason to despise that ugly bike.

Ugly? It may be one of those things that is so ugly it's beautiful! At least it is to me. Now I wan't one too... I need a better job to support my hobby.

Actually the bars being a foot or more below the saddle is only really a requirement, if speed is the ultimate concern, such as for racing. However when comfort over long distances, is the primary concern, such as when touring, it's actually common to have the bars even or above the saddle.

If I hadn't already purchased a LHT, I'd have one. In fact I was all over one for gravel rides, until I bought the Marathon Cross(es) for the LHT. Now I'm back to going "crap, that's really cool, but there's no way I can justify it".. :(

I CAN, however, justify a Karate Monkey. :D
