Just wanted to post this up to all the BF's hoping that there's some kind of humanity that I can keep faith in out there.
Tonight was Nuit Blanche in Toronto, and my girlfriend and I decided to bike around town to visit all the sites. Me having only two bicycles, and only one lock that would fit over both, had to decide to take my completely hand-built Pedal Force bike and lock it up with a $20 lock from Canadian tire for 25minutes outside my condo at yonge and dundas. After meeting with my girlfriend and returning back to get the bikes, I found the lock cut, and ONLY my pedal force stolen. The lock was left there as well as my other cheap canadian tire bike.
I just hope that someone out there may have seen what happened, or if you come across someone selling it, you'll contact me. I'll pay you whatever you paid for it.
And for those who believe that if someone can afford an expensive bike once, they can afford another one, here's a brief bio. I pay $20000 in tuition for grad school a year, which i use OSAP and lines of credit to pay for, so i'm so far in debt it'll take me years after school to pay it off. I live at home with my recently divorced and forced into retirement mother. And everything on that bike was put together by hand (wheels, BB, parts everything) and was the fruit of 5 years of savings, gifts from my parents and grandparents, and a whole lot of waiting for cheap parts.
If anyone can help me, that'll be amazing.
