Mountain Biking - Ever bend a seat rail? Need new saddle suggestions!

I did today. I Only actually noticed it as I was looking in the rear view on my drive home. Tried to straighten it back out when I got home but it wasn't giving.

Anyway, looks like its time for a new saddle. About time really, in addition to the new bent rail, its got a rip or two and a chunk of foam missing from the nose. Who's got some good saddle suggestions?

came stock on my bike. works fine for me.

did that in a fall once, totally smashed the rail into like a 30* angle, actually that was a wtb pure v, but i do like wtbs seat for the money I really wanna get a silverado but the pure v is good. there are also some really nice expensive seat out there but I havn't ridden many of them myself (and don't remember names of what i did ride) imo not worth the extra cash over a wtb for most of us, w/e

I've bent a LOT Of rails. I've had pretty good luck with Specialized saddles. At least they break instead of bending. That means they're under warranty.

I didn't really take any big drops today either...kinda weird.

Anyway, I'm Ebaying it right now to see what I can get. There's a relatively cheap WTB laser V I'm trying for now...if that doesn't work out maybe I'll try the devo.

+1, I like the specialized body geometry saddles. Even the OEM stuff is pretty good.

I'm actually swapping out my road saddle for a toupe. We'll see how I like the specialized stuff.

Another vote for the Pure V, it came stock on my bike aswell and it ended up being the most comfortable saddle I have used.

Finding the perfect saddle is so much like the Holy Grail. I have the Terry Ti-Fly on my three main bikes and I can only yawn about them.

Interestingly, the WTB Pure V is the most-oft mentioned in the comfort area, at least as far as my readings here and elsewhere have shown.

I'm quite happy with my Specialized Phenom.... (EDIT: yeah, it's on a touring bike, but it's a MTB saddle)
