Pacific Northwest - Gonna miss this place

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am a young man with wanderlust. I have spent a year in Chicago, a year in the Twin cities and am about to end my year in Seattle. Seattlites and PNWers in general, this is by far the best area I have seen for bikes. To all those involved in bike advocacy around here, keep up the great work

Good luck with your new city. It's sad losing another biker from the PNW but your biking culture that you'll bring to your new city will hopefully convince another to ride! That all we really ask, eh?

Where are you headed? Try Santa Cruz, CA for its cycling scene and excellent rides.
I'm going to Alta, Utah. I read Salt Lake City got some sort of bronze medal rating for bike friendly cities, which is what Redmond received. But I'll be at the base of the mountain all winter. There won't be much biking for me, but skiing everyday. I'm going for 90 days this season. After biking at least 30 some miles a day this summer, I'll let ya'll know which hurts more. Side note, anyone know if there is a good way to bike around (on roads) the Great Salt Lake?

Heck - go for a century ski season. Given your summer mileage a good pair of boots is all you need to ski without serious hurt. Be safe.
I've never broken 40 days, now a volunteer patroller at Snoqualmie Summit.
