OK, so I have a whole week off of work with not much to do. Naturally, the first thing that comes to mind is to (reconfigure) one of my bikes.

My fixed gear is the logical victem because I don't use it very much as it is. It's going to lose it's Cinelli bar and stem and get a taller, shorter stem and a different road handlebar that's chopped and inverted to resemble bull horns. The stem needs to have the Georgena Terry logo polished off of it and the bar's getting a black repaint and black and white Cinelli handlebar tape. That'll give me a higher, shorter reach handlebar which should make the riding position more comfortable so maybe I'll ride it more.

Now see, just last week this bike was going to become a 3-speed. The budget on that project kept creeping up which, for me, is the kiss of death for a limited use bike. The bullhorn project is ZERO cost because I have everything that I need on hand. Besides, it's you guy's fault because the thread about bullhorn handlebars is what got me thinking.

Nope, not my fault!. I don't have any bullhorns on my bikes (not yet) so watch where you are spreading the blame.

Yeah, but if guys like you didn't hang out here they wouldn't be posting stuff like that and I wouldn't be getting these wild ideas. You're as much to blame as anybody - except, maybe, the Deege.

Another logical thing to do if you don't ride fixed that much is to replace that fixed cog with a freecog. :D

Logical, but that's not the kind of thing that I do. I mean it's an extra bike that I put together from mostly junk parts. Why try to make logical sense out of it?
