Hi guys,

I'm looking for a local place in NYC that might sell the brand "Bern", or something similar to this: http://yakkay.com/ (but those guys don't mention US sales)? The reason I don't want to just go ahead and buy something internationally online is due to my girlfriend not being able to try it on first.

True, but for relatively short rides (under an hour each way), I think she'd prefer something like that than something with ventilation and the traditional road look.

Those yakkays look pretty interesting, but if you're just looking for bmx/skate style helmets they should be all over the place. Maybe check out some of the bigger shops that might hold more inventory.

Too bad Bern and Yakkay look like internet only brands.

http://www.zweitrad.de/ seems to sell them online but the helmet is 80 Eur and the cover is another 40 Eur. According to my desktop widget currency converter that works out to 161.904 U$D before any shipping charges.
