Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - You guys go to sleep early, eh???

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Here it is, 10:30 PST, and none of y'all have posted in two hours. Either y'all go to sleep early, or y'all are out partying late...

I just got in from one of the best rides ever! I had a LifeCycle ride meeting in S.F. from 6:30 - 8:30pm, so I left Marin at about 1pm, and rode the ~25 miles to Chinatown, and had lunch. Then I went over to Market Street, and hung out with the messengers for a few hours. We ended up getting in a water balloon fight with another clique and everyone got soaked. Then I hit the meeting, and a then beautiful night ride home across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the Marin Headlands. All told, including the school commute this morning, 75 miles of pure fun.
And nice weather on the west coast these days makes it all possible! Kick-ass weather all week in Portland. 65-70F and mostly sunny. I'm not quite as ambitious as you are in terms of miles, but I've been out on my bike as much as other committments allow...

Sounds like a great time. You get time off for training for the Lifecycle?

I spent the last several years saving money so I could put myself through college without having to work too much. I'm actually taking this whole semester off of work. I'm taking 23 credits at College of Marin, and starting this weekend, I'm volunteering 3 days a week at trips for kids, a great non-profit bicycling center (click here for more info) (http://www.webcom.com/tfk/abouttfk.htm). This allows me just enough spare time to train (skipping a class now and then doesn't hurt). I end up doing a lot of night rides after class, but it's really pleasant at night out here.

I go to bed at around 9:30PM every night. Late is 10:30PM. Seriously.

That and I don't have the internet at home. And yeah I know I must be the only person working in a technology-related field who doesn't have internet at home....

The lack of red blooded partially cooked inside, burnt crispy out side meat will do that to a man. You just need an infusion of animal flesh. Fix you right up.
(not seriously).

Ahahahaha!!
I need beef.
Actually I've got an ex-Vegan friend who says since he started eating meat he's got a lot more energy.
It's wierd though because I've got a lot of energy while I'm awake and I wake up at 6:30AM every morning (even on the damn weekends).
That's a purty piece of beef though!

So what's the story with you, Al5 and the mutual love-in? As my malaprop prone wife would say...I can't stand watching these "public displays of infection."
