i think maxxis holy rollers kick ass...they hav good tread but not 2 much and their great for the corners...

There really is no 'best' tire, there are only tires that you like. If I were you I would go to www.danscomp.com and take a look at their offerings, then ask back with a couple that you think you might like. I find that out of about 40 different street tires, riders use and enjoy every single different set out there.
I also find that only the really cheap tires (sub 10 bucks) tend to be really bad. In fact, they usually are consistently bad, and should be avoided. The rubber is usually softer and the compound is not consistent from tire to tire, some will be good, but others will be bad. But, Maxxis, Tioga, Primo, Snafu, Drive, IRC, etc. They are all good, and you won't be unhappy with any of them really.
