Recumbent - windcheetah problems

I've been looking/testing tadpole trikes and decided on the windcheetah. But lately have been hearing about problems - fairings damaged in wind, becoming "unglued" at joint, general grumbling. I love the bike, and hope that these are unwarranted opinions.

Since I'm looking for a used Windcheetah it would be good to know if there is anything I should pay attention to. Any experience out there?

Have you found any used ones available? Their web site is very nice.

I saw one in pretty bad shape in a bike shop. They apparently hold their value - it was pricey. I'm beginning to get feedback about their quality/durability - and it's not all positive, so now I'm more cautious.

There are allot of really good tadpole trikes out there, have you tried others? Trice, Greenspeed, Catrike and many more coming on the market. Of course they are the only one that I know of that has joystick steering.

I was able to "test drive" a Greenspeed and a Trice XL. Both very nice - especially the Trice. (Others I've ridden aren't really worth mentioning - terrible how we gravitate to the costliest...) One that I haven't tried is the WizWheels, and I understand it's much more affordable.

Having said that - have to admit that the joystick was fun. Also, the thing flew. So there may be some logic, but also alot of laugh factor involved in this decision. I'm still a long way from purchasing one of this high end machines.

I just happen to have a barely used Windcheetah I would be willing to part with. It's sized for a 5'7" rider, although by moving the seat you have some adjustment. It has about 500 miles on it and in very good condition.
