Hello,
I have recently gotten back into cycling. I just ordered a road bike and have been using it to get exercise. I was debating on whether to get a road bike or a mountain bike, but decided on the road bike because there aren't too many trails around here for off-road riding.
I then put a couple of those bike lifts (pulley systems) in my garage ceiling and realized that I had room for one more bike :)
I decided to look for an inexpensive mountain bike to have for fun. I read a lot of reviews on the Forge Sawback 5xx, but tried a friends and the 19.5" frame was too small. I then saw a K2 Zed 2.0 bike at a LBS and road it around (XL Frame) and really liked it.
I did some searches on-line and found the K2 Zed Sport (lowest model) at performancebike.com. It was $249, which seems like a great deal. I have been waiting for a 15% off coupon.
I woke up this morning and decided to check their site. They just reduced the price on the K2 Zed Sport bikes to $214. I used promo code "428" and got another 10% off, plus 10% in rewards points (Team Performance).
So that means I got the K2 Zed Sport bike for $193. I'm still in shock. I know that this bike will be extremely entry level, but you can barely get a Wal-Mart bike for under $200.
I can't find too much info on K2 bikes, but I have to believe they are decent for the price. Does anyone have a K2 Zed? Is this thing going to be worth $193?
