Anyone doing this ride on Oct 18? I have only been on one group ride and that was the patriot pedal. I'm not hearing much about the Springtown ride, so just curiuos of what the turnout will be. I"m already signed up.

It's kind of an early start, but I'm planning on going. There aren't many rides that are close enough for me to ride to.

I think it's the first year for the ride, and that makes it kind of hard to guess the turnout. I may go, not sure yet. Seems like somebody said that route was hilly. It's a pretty good ways from Garland.

I've seen info at all the LBS in Fort Worth, so there may be a decent turnout.

I will probably do more group rides next year after my youngest graduates high school. He's in the marching band at North Crowley, so Fridays are football nights and Saturdays are marching competitions. This is the last year for that though so I should have more time starting next summer.

I just checked on the website and registration "day of" is $40. For that, I think I can stay home.

Actually, last week, I rode the "no drop" ride at Don Johle's Bike World- that was pretty decent, a 20 mile or so ride through reasonably flat country. I may just do that again.

Right. Save $40 registration and another $20 in gas. $40 seems kind of high to me. Where's Don Johle's?

I sure hope it's not overly hilly. I signed up for the 40 mile ride and I haven't done that much as I'm still a new roadie. Ugghhh - pep talk anyone - :)

Anybody ride this? I did and it was a nice country ride. Not exactly much traffic control, but it really wasn't needed.

By the way it was hilly.
