Sold my car this afternoon. Now I have to rely on my bikes. I'm going to order fenders asap. Our first rain was last week and didn't go so well for me.
It's an awesome feeling! Just wanted to share.
Congratulations!
As long as you love bikes, you'll probably enjoy being carfree. I haven't had a car for about 7 years now, and also was carfree much of the time before that. I still love it.

Don't need to love bikes *g*. I have a lot fewer no bike days in Madison, because it's so spread out compared to Los Angeles, but if I want a relaxed day of errands, walking is very nice. (yesterday was great... ran all my errands on foot and got lots of reading done as I walked)
Congrats on selling the car!

Yeah, walking's great--if you have all day to run a couple errands.

Thanks! It's weird not seeing "my" car in the driveway.
