A friend has provided me a couple Niterider lights for use. The one is a handlebar mounted light (can't recall the specific model), and while he was showing me how to plug in the charger the charger stuck in the light. As a result, the male connection pulled out of the charger. As a result I now have a light w/o a charger for its battery pack.

So I have a couple questions:

1) Can I use any old charger with the right sized connection to charge the batteries for the light?
2)Is there an easy way to repair the charger or should I just buy a new one (this was a 1 week long charge)?
3) On a budget is there any good place to purchase chargers fast? I have a 200k ride in in 11 days?

Finally, he also gave me a second light which goes on the helmet. In the worst case scenario, will this be sufficient for the 1.25 hour pre-dawn portion of the ride? Or should I spend $30 for a planetbike headlight rear blinky set at the lbs?

You should be able to repair the charger. That of course depends on how good you are with tools like a soldering iron. I would need to see a pic of the damage to advise you better. Also what model do you have and what kind of battery? Niterider used everything from Lead acid to Li Ion in their battery designs. You can remove the battery from it's pack easily and read the voltage, amps, and the type.
