I've been trying to adjust my older diacompe cantis on my cx build. It has been a complete pain in butt and am throwing in the towel. Since I'm going to replace them...can someone recommend a good performing, medium priced, easy to adjust, and weight concious cantilevers?
thanks

Tektro CR720 with Koolstop or other quality aftermarket pads. The stock pads aren't bad IMO.
I am a new convert to Tektro mini-Vs, but I would recommend using them with travel agents (which actually turn out to be more expensive than the brakes themselves) or long-pull levers.
Avid Shorty 6's are just as good as the billion-dollar Paul Comp brakes, so I'd strongly recommend the Shorty 6.
The Shorty 4, on the other hand, is junk.

True, they aren't that bad. But switching to Koolstop turned the 720's from a "pretty darn good" brake into an amazing brake. It's one of my favorite component purchases, especially in terms of value.

Get the MTB ones unless your rims are ultra itty-bitty
