The questions keep'a'coming.


So...the Rocky Mountain Flow has a 66.5' HA??? Kinda slack, is that really correct?
Is it with a 100mm fork
Would you go any bigger on the fork...say 140-150?

That might be one of the DJ versions. The older Flow frames were more of just a beefy hardtail like you're looking for. The newer ones are more DJ setup. Linky to which one you're looking towards? Year? I had an 05 Flow frame briefly that was pretty damn nice, just a bit big for me. Got rid of it when the steel frame came around. If you could find one of the older more trail oriented models, that would rock for what you want!

If that HA is accurate, that's pretty damn slack for trailbike use with a 100mm fork. Hell, my hardtail is straight up 67 with a 160mm fork.

It could be a DJ version...it's a 2008 Flow 1. Do they make 18" DJ bikes? That's kinda big.

Ya know...all I really want is a bike that I can take downtown and jump some stairs or 3-4footers. It would be nice if it can hang on the trail, that'll be okay too. Heck, I don't even go big on doubles or anything.

Yep, that for sure is one of the newer versions. No idea if it really is that slack or not though. Email Rocky and see what they say?

If the rest of the numbers look good to you fit wise, it looks good. If it really is that steep with a 100mm fork, running it with anything taller would slack it way the hell out too far, IMO, for regular trail use. 66.5 seems awful slack for a DJ bike to me. Possibly a misprint on Rocky's part?

Yeah. Methinks a misprint on the website. I'd still see what Rocky can tell you though, before plunking down money.

I got an email from them saying that it's fact. It is designed for a 100mm fork to have 66.5' HA. Which may be a decent urban or DJ bike, I guess.
