Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Courteous Mass Atlanta is now a regular event! Atlanta commuters, recreational cyclists, college students, hipsters, racers, riders, couriers, families with children - the curious and the bored, timid and bold, are all welcome to join local bicycle advocates and organizers for the monthly Courteous Mass. This ride will take place the 2nd Friday of every month. Read more for ride details:

Riders meet at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta at 6 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month. The ride leaves at 6:30 pm.The route varies but is generally fairly short and sweet - 5 to 7 miles in the downtown/intown area.

This ride follows all traffic laws. Cyclists will stop at red light and stop signs, ride two abreast or single file on two lane roads, and will treat all other users of the road with the kind of courtesy and respect that we all deserve.

If you believe in a BALANCED transportation system, come support our advocacy efforts while having a Happy Friday on your bike with your future friends.

Reminder: Bring your lights -- sundown is 7:09 PM

I'm in Knoxville but I'd like to start expanding my cycling horizons. A trip to Hawtlanta could be fun.

• About how many people usually show up?

• Does the ride end at an establishment that serves beer*?

*I'm on board with following traffic laws but having beer after an informal group ride is a non-negociable requirement.
