I've had my Superlight for a few weeks now, and after a few rides I had noticed that it would occasionally creak when settling over some bumps. This is the first FS bike that I've had, so I immediately thought it was just the swing arm or the shock, but I've finally isolated the issue: the saddle, when torqued vertical either at the front or tail, creaks.
I took out the clamp bolts and applied some grease and that didn't really do the trick. I also cleaned the rails and inspected them. This is the first time that I've used a seat post with this 'dual clamp' head on it (Race Face Evolve XC)... should I grease the collar that is around the seatpost? Is this just par for the design of the seat post?
I haven't had any major crashes and everything seems to be in good order. Just creaky...
(I ran a search and found a couple past posts, but many were about creaks that were not isolated to the saddle/seatpost or didn't have a resolution)
