With all the doping allegations that recently broke, it seems we have missed mentioning the retirement (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2008/oct08/oct06news) of Wim Vansevenant. He says he will probably give up riding because the team is not letting him have his bike.

Here's to wishing Wim all the best in his new career of farming. He sounds like a man with a good grounding in reality, and quite the excellent role model for anyone who loves riding and has respect for the sport.

Any manufacturer will get oodles more publicity in giving Wm a bike than the cost of the bike.
Trek could even get a photo op with Bob Euchre and Bob Roll presenting the ride to him. :roflmao2:

Funny thing is that the guy winning the Lanterne Rouge in the TDF can still kick all our @sses in a race.
