Recumbent - Sun Recumbents

What do you own and how do you like it. I'm getting a cruiser and maybe a recumbent, any others you like?

I own an EZ Sport. It's a nice beginner bent. Easy to ride, but not much for speed. It is comfortable.

I own an EZ sport that I picked up at a yard sale last year. I put over 1,100 miles on it since April 26th....when I finally got a bike computer. Its pretty comfortable too me, once i got used to riding it.

What do you own and how do you like it, any others you like?

Have an X-2 AX. Keep thinking that I would have done just as well on one of the earlier and cheaper models.

Sun EZ-Rider AX.

Comfortable for long rides. Shock absorber lets you ride rougher surfaces. Very good components (SRAM X.9, Avid BB7, etc.) Not much for speed though.

Ez SpeedsterCX - good bike - started to do some shorts tours with it. Good workhouse of a bike but a little slow.

I got an EZ-Tad SX; I've put over 1,100 miles on it since March. It's fast enough for me - I got it more for going longer distances than for speed. I'll worry about speed once I can't keep up with my wife on her QNT. So far, that's not a problem!

EZ Sport AX for me, and I really like it. So much so that I can't really see riding anything else. It's dialed into me and really comfortable. bk

a cruiser AND a recumbent???? Once you get the feel of the recumbent I forsee a LOT of garage time for the cruiser.

I had a Sun Tadpole that, unfortunately, I had to sell due to financial reasons. I am now getting a Sun Tomahawk. For me, Sun makes a VERY good product at a reasonable price.

Once you ride that recumbent you may not want to ride anything else. Try one before you buy it though. And make sure that you can adjust the seat for YOUR riding comfort.

I love both my Cruiser and my bent. Cruiser is good for short trips, and the bent is good for longer ones. I like the way each of them feels, and I miss the "other" bike when I've only been riding one for a while.

I am getting my Sun Tomahawk delivered today through UPS. Have to put the thing together myself. Needless to say I am like a kid-at-Christmas with the anticipation of waiting!!!!!!

I have ridden one before and know what to expect. That's why I ordered this one. Anyway, I'll give a ride update along with photos while I put the thing together!!!!

I like mine.

I use a 03' EZ-1 Sport Cruiser for a loaner bike.:thumb: It rides nice after I made and put a 1" wedge under the seat. Everyone kept sliding down to the front wheel you see. The steel frame gives a smooth ride. Come in a bit heavy, around 42lb weight with fenders and such.:eek:Entry level equipment, not the best for precise shifting. :innocent:But for a used price of $225 and a like new bike it works for me.

Out of the seven recumbents I own it is the easiest one for a beginner to just jump on and ride. No worries!:)

I jumped on it the other day with the 4-year-old grandson in the Burley trailer. I pulled him 10 miles one way to the local Saturday market. Then loaded the back with produce and rode back home. We had a great time of it.:D

Bought an EZ-Rider SX a couple of weeks ago. I've put about 50 miles on it since then. Took a couple of rides to get the seat and handle bars to where they were the most comfortable. I now have no problem doing a 10 mile ride. I'm a bit of a Clydesdale, O.K. at 280# I'm more than a bit of one. On the DF I have I was getting back, shoulder and wrist pain after 3 miles, not a problem now. I also like the suspension on the EZ-Rider, it has no problem holding my fat butt up with plenty of travel to soak up bumps. Unfortunately this model is no longer manufactured.

Sure would like to see a Ti EZ Sport, built with an eye toward being light weight. Just a dream I have. bk

I rode a P-38 for several years and then in a moment of pure stupidity, I sold it to finance buying a Rowbike. A year later, with no budget for another P-38, I got an EZ-1 to tool around the 'hood and some light commuting. I thought it was a fine bike for the price. Unfortunately, it was stolen from my garage last summer. A couple weeks ago, I went by an LBS and saw my EZ-1 for sale. I know it's mine because it still has the crappy airless tire I put on the front wheel. Unfortunately, I can't find my sales receipt so the police don't seem to think I have much chance of recovery...but they are investigating.

I like both of my Sun Recumbents.....
