"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Crap

....so rowing is going well, and the off season has been treating me pretty well, but I still am not the least bit motivated to ride my bike next year.

Then I found this thing on eBay...

I still have very little (if any) motivation to race, but I can't wait to *ride* this thing.

I'm just hoping motivation to race (at least on the weekends I'm not doing Regattas) comes back now. I think I'll just stick to College races this Spring, but hey, it's something.

So...the real question here is..... I'm keeping the bike mostly as-is, but I'm going to put my bars, stem, and saddle on it. But..

What color bar tape, tires (on Black Ksyrium Elites, at least for training), cabling, and saddle does it get? I'm kinda thinking white tape, black tires w/ white stripes (Vittoria), white cables, a white saddle, and white cages.

Meh. I can't wait for this thing to get here! I am going to miss Mr. Felt, though...

I'd do gold bar tape with white hoods on that bike.

No disrespect or "calling out" intended. And I don't even need to click on the link because that image is burned into my mind. You must be the only person on Earth that had a saddle made from driftwood.:lol:

White (tape) and white (hoods) and white (saddle) is a very nice look. I would be foolish to argue against that. On the other hand I want stuff that "works" where I touch the bike (saddle, hoods, bars and tape, pedals) and I don't care how it looks. They can be clashing shades of purple for all that I care. That was where I was coming from. Kind of a "tool" and not a "jewel" thing.;)

Kewl bike Chris. Campy cranks are da bomb. I splurged on Record cranks for my setup and love 'em.

Btw - you should bring it out for our Tues nighter. Matt came out and seemed to enjoy himself.

Nooooo Tuesday 'nighters for me. Tuesday night is Longhorn Band fun.... Which payed off today at the game :) Freaking awesome!
