I'm sure everyone on this board has heard of Bikesdirect.com's Windsor Wellington 1.0 (http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/wellington1_IX.htm) and VilanoBikes.com's Vilano Shadow (http://vilanobikes.com/roadbikes.html). Both bikes are ~$300. Are there any other low end manufacturers similar to these?

Since you're a "newbie" it might be better to read this thread than spend so much money for
a bike. A really decent bike can be had for much less than $300 , mate.
