Folding Bikes - Citizen Folding Bikes $164 - Anyone have one?

They have a 6 spd for the mid 200's to.

A bike for bay area visits I can take 2 panniers on, when taking the train is all I need.

Anyone think that it is better to get a KHS for slightly more? I heard KHS was similar in ride quality to the Brompton. I think it was the Latte?

Other suggestions are great to.

KHS is a fine bike, but it cannot be compared to a Brompton (different target audience).

As far as I know, no one here is currently riding a Citizen. Time will tell.

Citizen bikes are low cost, yet still manage to be overpriced. I would check out Lock & Go for a cheap bike.

I was thinking about getting a Citizen too. I kept checking craigslist everyday until I found a good deal. It took me the better part of the summer but I think I got a good deal.

Considerably more expensive...but less than the Brompton by half...

I saw a Dahon Speed in red a couple days ago at a LBS. Steel frame, Sram 3.0, seemed well made. Add some fenders and a rear rack and it was about as nice as the higher line models that folded a little tighter. Steel was a selling point to me, over the pricier aluminum Dahons.

How do those $500 steel Dahon Speeds compare to the $1200 Brompton, Breezer folders, Bike Friday Tickits/other Bike Fridays, and KHS bikes?

Sounds like a lot to compare to...but maybe I can get some responses that would assist in figuring out which are the best.

Those $500.00 steel Dahon's will be faster than a $1200.00 dollar Brompton. However, the Brompton will be alot more comfortable unless you invest in a Thudbuster.
