Ran into a couple of guys at Coates today. One dude was busy with the salesguy but the other ended up talking rides with me. I mentioned the SART thread and the forums. The guy I was talking with mentioned his bud viewed the forums. So the bud says, "you're Mr. Beanz".:D
I think he mostly lurks eventhough he is signed on. Couldn't remember his sign-on but he's here somewhere!:p ....I believe the both have attended one of the GMR forum rides a while back.
Sorry if I was talking a little strange. Just had a tooth surgically removed this morning, have a few stitches and a plate on the roof of my mouth. I don't always look this dopey, I don't think !:roflmao2:

Yup! GIna and frequent ride partner Mad_One crack up on the trial when so many others know me as Mr. Beanz! I might start charging them to hang with me!:p

Mr. Beanz, what changes/improvements do you see in the SART?

I know the section by the golfcourse is much nicer than it was a few years back. Also there used to be a sandlot that we had to cross over. I believe it's where the new detention center is(?). At one point we had to ride across the river from one side to the other thru the middle of the sand section. The wall they put up is nice. A rider was sure to get sand blasted when the Santa Anas kicked up, very painful if you didn't happen to have leg covers that day!:(
The section near Kraemer is much nicer. Used to be a twisty windy road then a climb heading North/East. Closer to Imperial, the rolling twisty road is much nicer. And the section, again near Kraemer has been torn up. Several dangerous roots lifting thru the road have been removed. A few of those underpases seem to be better when we. Some points were unpassable during rainy season. The big wide underpass at Kraemer is fairly new too.
Oh oh oh! And there is a nice new fence away from the trail (1/4 mile from the coast) so that OCRoadie doesn't get squished again!:D
