Being outside a lot has had the effect of making me comfortable pretty much all the time. Last night, my wife turned on the furnace for the first time since last winter. Temp throughout was 61. She turned it up to 65 and I felt like I was roasting.
Just wondered if anyone else is in this boat?

Yes, but not because I'm actually outside. I live in AZ where everyone is hot. I am generally a lot skinnier than fellow coworkers, family, and roommates. They all turn the thermostat down and I freeze. I can't stand it. Their extra bodyfat keeps them a little warmer. When I live alone I'm just going to open the windows. I don't need AC.

I sleep in colder temperatures now, largely because I can tolerate it. I got a lot skinnier, so I wasn't able to handle cold weather as well until I started racing and training in the winter (now).

I commute year-round, no matter what the weather. I am very tolerant of cold weather (I was before commuting as well), but I cannot take heat at all. Today it was 86 with low humidity, and all day I was wishing it was 20+ degrees cooler. In the winter my heat rarely comes on, though in the summer I try to leave the A/C around 80. I'm not comfortable but I can stand it at 80. Commuting has made me more tolerable to cold weather, but doesn't seem to have helped me with heat at all. In fact I think I may be less tolerant of high temperatures now.

My parents control the thermostat. I have no say in the matter.
Our super controls the thermostat. I have no say in the matter.
I get yelled at in the fall/winter months for my passion for an open window. sigh
I shut the heat off and if I just happen to leave my bedroom door open a crack, without putting a towel down under the door ... then I get yelled at.
I'm outside sooooo much that I enjoy fresh air ---- and a stale house is stagnating. And so - the open window miniseries .....
My bloodless roommates have had the heat on for the last couple of weeks - not even bothering to curb the computer program so it lowers the daytime heat ... instead - the heat is set at 76-78 degrees which is just way too much for me.
So yes, my bicycling habit does affect me - I prefer to set (as per my lst house of 25 years) my daytime and evening heat into the late Fall set at the high 50's, with winter set at mid 60's - although I do dress in sweats and do not have animals that require high temps (other than in temp regulated cages).
I likes the colder weather and FRESH AIR!!! :D

The people downstairs have the heat on high enough to warm the whole building.

I am one of those people who gets cold easily, and cycling hasn't made any difference. I usually build a fire in the fireplace as opposed to turning on the heater, and bundle up in layers. We're currently having a heat wave out here so I've been pretty comfortable.

We set the thermostat to 65, turn off the heat, and open a window. Our coldest night in 11 years was 30*. Good thing we had a blanket.
I can't sleep when it's hot, so in summer the A/C is set to 80* daytime, 76* at night. We have a ceiling fan to keep the air circulating -- stagnant, hot air keeps me awake.

I prefer 60-65 F, my wife likes 75-80. I don't think it's gonna work out...

Our furnace crapped out yesterday. It is chilly in here... Luckily there are lots of blankets to curl up in - and it isn't -30°C out yet.

My husband cranks the thermostat so high we can plant rare tropical flowers. I wear shorts and tshirts all year round it's so hot in the apartment. If I open the window I have to remember to close it before he gets home or he whines that he'll freeze to death or catch pneunmonia. My mother was just as bad when I was growing up, so I should be use to it. I think my riding has made me more sensitive to heat -- I'm pretty comfortable riding in cold weather, I just layer my clothes in case of warmer afternoons.
I'm sweating right now!

Sure it will. Set the temp to 80 in the summer (if you have AC), 63 in the winter. Problem solved...

I always feel hot? Even in winter? I guess it could be my cycling? My wife tells me I must have been a polar bear in a past life! (but I actually HATE the winter!?)
I get cold easily. Armour thyroid has made a big difference. I prefer to leave the AC at 80 in the summer, low to mid 60s in the winter. Don't like having to change when I get home because the temp is so different from outside and it helps me acclimate so I'm more comfortable on the bicycle or motorcycle.
yes
try going camping in near 0 celsius temperatures for a week or more - waking up sweating like you're in a sauna is always fun as you re-adjust to central heating

My fiancee does the same thing. She's gotta have the heat cranked if it drops below 70. Her temperature regulation is outta whack from a car accident many years ago, and she can get chilly on a 90 degree summer day.
Me and the dog would have been happy leaving the windows open and the heat off last night, and it dipped into the mid 30s.
I keep the thermostat set on 65ºF. If I'm cold I set a fire. During the summers I tend to leave the AC off and rely on fans, and the fact that my house is in the middle of a walnut orchard (lots of shade). I find that when I do run the AC it's for its dehumidifying effects more than its cooling.
I've always been that way though.
