Well last night I put my new spinergy xaero on my bike, cleaned the bike up, lubed the chain and loaded my duffle bag with all of my needs.
This morning I woke up, showered and put on my Biemme 2003 Bianchi Team Bib and a Tee Shirt.
Had a Banana for breakfast downed a glass of water with my vitamins and loaded my bike into my truck.
I drove down to Pinellas Trail, the temp was near 80 degrees when I reached my destination.
I unloaded my bike, put on my Biemme 2003 Bianchi Team Jersey and gloves, put on my shoes and strapped on my helmet and was on my way, I rode the trail for apx 8 miles into the wind and took a detour over the Duneden Causway towards the beach and Honeymoon Island, The scenery was nice lots of waves a dolphin or two and uhmmm roller bladers, (if you know what I mean) :D hehehe. Once over to the Island I turned back and rode back to the trail, still admiring the scenery the time went quick, i wasnt concentrating on speed, but just out for a Sunday Ride to share with the group here in this forum.
Once back on the trail I rode it apx another 15 miles and decided to turn back.
Needless to say my ride was a great Sunday ride, once I got back to my truck I looked at my distance and noticed I rode a total of 55 miles and my average speed was 16 miles per hour
I loaded my bike back into my truck and headed home and out of the corner of my eye I noticed the trail in a different part I had not noticed before. So I drove along the trail to see if I could find a parking place for next Sunday. The spinergy wheel that has the poor feedback about was awsome, it was smooth and to be honest I think it actually helped my avg speed.
But anyway folks I thought I would share my Sunday Ride with you, I wish some of you could have been there with me. I would see a pack of riders and wonder if by some chance some of them may be you. So if anyone is in the Sunshine State drop me a line, maybe we could catch a nice ride and maybe a few more miles to make a Sunday morning go by.
