Road Cycling - Any experience with totalcycling.com?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi guys, I was wondering, has any of you bought from totalcycling.com? Their prices are so amazing that I wonder if they are for real. The specific item I am talking about is a Shimano Ultegra R600 spd-sl pedal. I retails for around 120-140 in most places (119 on ebay), but they sell it for US$90, (60 pounds, they are located in Ireland). They charge a $10 flat shipping rate, so I would get the pedal for 100. What do you think?
Thanks!
I bought Sidi 4s from them, good service quick shipping, though I would check the conversion rates as they were a bit off (still cheaper than anywhere else but not as an incredible a deal).

Thanks, I think I will order from them tomorrow. I just checked the conversion again, the pedals there cost 51 pounds, not 60 as I previously mentioned, and that converts to 92 dollars.
Don't know about totalcycling.com but I did buy those pedals off Ebay for $95 + shipping. I monitored auctions for 2 weeks and concluded that $90 to $105 was the normal range.

Keep in mind that you may have to pay some customs charges. I think pedals are charged but only in purchases over $100. Take a look at their site, the info is there I believe.

Hi, you shouldn't start criticizing without knowing the facts. I am located in Panama City, Panama (NOT Florida), where the canal is, do you know, Central America? Unlike the US, things here ARE expensive, if my LBS had this pedal, and if it was less than 20% more than the internet I would buy it there, BUT, things here are expensive and limited. Just to give you an idea, a C'dale R600 (2002) retails here for 2000 US dollars, an R400 (also 2002) is 1400 bucks and a trek 1500 (2003 I think) is 1800. I will hopefully buy an R400 (2004) in the US next week, I expect to pay something around 700 for it, with that kind of money I wouldn't get ANY road bike at my LBS, the cheapest (Trek 1000, which I didn't like the fit, costs 1000). My LBS doesn't have that many pedal choices, and they are VERY expensive. Unfortunately, I don't have the BUCKS to support my LBS.
Next time think before start criticizing,
Sincerily,
Luis
