Hi all,

Just some news i grabbed off pinkbike,

Marzocchi 66UF, 6", singlecrown, 1.1/8 steerer, smaller brother of 888R, same crown/lowers/damping.

I just thought it would be interesting.

Plus, a FULL new lineup of marzocchi rear shocks ,coilovers, with piggybacks etc etc.

Just go to the photo section of pinkbike, and type "taipei 2004"

Yeah the 66 might be good. NEw damping system is suppost to be better than hsvc (that in and of itself would be incredible). The system also allows for less oil which in turn saves a lot of weight. I am not 100% sure but the 888 has bigger stanchions...is the 66 doing the same?

I think this is gonna be a killer fork, I just hope they leave off the ETA and/or improve it to a usable amount of travel. Make it so it can be a 4 in or 6 in fork, both setting usable for REAL riding.

Thats the plan mael... to have adjustable travel between 4-6 inches... without ETA. I guess thats what the UF stands for on the leg of the fork. As for the stanchions, just by looking the picture they look like 35mm (like the 888R).

The thing that i like is that it has a normal steerer, which seems like what manitou does now as well with their new nixon (6" for XC????).

Thanks for the tip off.

On a somewhat unrelated note to this thread, I think all of this new fork technology on the horizon from Marz, Manitou, and Rockshox is great news for us.

Not only because these forks could be an improvement, but also I reckon the '04 forks will be real cheap once all of this 'new' stuff comes out!

I will wait till 2006...seriously with all the new forks being produced I will be doing some serious testing next year. If these two forks I have last this year then I will be in the market for something new. Luckily, I don't have my heart set on any one company...

Wonder why they didn't call it the 666...I would have bought it in a second in that case...

Personally I am going to wait till 2010 to get anything new. I think I can ride the stuff I have now till then and get the absolute MOST out of it, and then buy all new stuff. Just think of what is going to be produced in 2010.....it will be amazing.

Smart ass. I simply meant I don't like riding first year productions. It doesn't mean I am waiting on everything till 2006 haha...
