:thumb: Big thumbs up for these folks :thumb:
The gent in the bike dept. went all around the store finding me the right size shoe covers, tubes and Garmin Accessories, and even hooked me up with a couple of coupons...nice people! We don't have one in NYC, but I hear secretly that this will be changing soon...

I've always been happy with the service at REI. The employees are always friendly and never make you feel silly for asking a question. If that particular employee doesn't have the answer, the answer will be sought out. I love the extras that they have - for example, they did a showing on the mtn bike trails in my area. They had them mapped out, the difficulty was rated and of course there was a slide show. This was for free!
As for the return policy, they never give you a hassle. REI is now where I get most of my cycling gear if I don't get it from my own bike shop. If they don't have it, they order it, or will put it on hold for me at another location to pick up. I also now get all of my outdoor and casual clothing from there as well.
And no, I'm not a shill. Just very happy with an awesome store. :thumb:
