Just stopping by to say hello! I have been car free for a couple of months now and prior to that, I'd driven my car a total of 35 days in a year and a half. So I sold it! I can use the money else where...
I figured I would give myself one year before selling the car, essentially one whole winter here in Colordo. In the process, I've lost about 70 pounds, a few others have taken up cycling to work and I'm stronger and happier than I've been in years!:thumb:

I am a destroyer of wheels but love what I do.

so yea...

Hello! And so far this place has been interesting to read through. Looking forward to another winter and just having fun living life at my pace now.

My 'usual' hang outs are commuting/fg-ss/Clydes...
See you around.

That's awesome. If you keep it up pretty soon you won't qualify to be in the Clydesdale club. :)

I haven't driven in just over 2 months now, so I'm new to this as well. Coincidentally my existing car insurance policy runs out today, so I suppose I'm officially/legally car free now as well. I always budget money to pay for my car insurance so I have the cash ready, but now I don't have anything to spend it on. Hmm... that Xtracycle conversion kit is sure tempting. :)

Nice. Reading this forum four months ago helped convince me I could use a bike in grad school. I've got a car, which I use when I need to travel to schools, but the majority of my transportation is done through the bicycle. Since getting the car in August, I've only put 10 gallons in it, and that was this October.
