This is something I can probably find in one of the groups, but I like to keep it in the family, so to speak.

I've noticed the aluminum seat post on MTB is slipping about 1/8 to 1/4 inch while I ride and I have the collar pretty tight. Should I be greasing the post with the same grease I use on pedal threads etc, or getting a post specific grease/anti-slip compund? Or using grease at all?

Suggestions?

Thanks in adavnce!

Don't forget to grease the threads of the collar bolt too! The anti-slip/carbon assembly paste is good stuff.

I don't mean to belittle you, but are you sure the post is the correct size? Also, if this is a Giant, scrap their shim and order the correct size post.

Hope this helps :D
