ok get a new frame and forks thats probaly one big reason
Ryan K. A lot of people don't have $400 or $500 just sitting there.
Well to lose like a pound maybe. Get a pivotal seat and post.
That will lose like a pound because your seat and post are probably heavy.
Well taking off the brakes would lose around 10-12 ounces or maybe more, but you don't want to do that.
Get new wheels if you have enough, or a frame or fork.
Just look around.

Dood, you should definitely get EaStErN Ti bars and the Ti Grim Reaper frame and Ti spokes with Ti axles and a Ti Spindle for your cranks, and plastic pedals to save even more weight....YEAH DOOD. Hahaha jk.
But seriously just try to scrape up some money and get new forks, and if at all possible wheels. Or just suck it up and lift some weights.

Your best bet to lose the most weight would be in the forks and frame.
