The original post:

And the pissed-off reply:

This week sucks.

What a stupid reply. The truth is that by getting out of there faster they are reducing the 2+ wheelers wait so why are they complaning. It's too bad the guy that replied was such a jerk. He could have pointed out that most people would look before openning their door to unhook their skirt.

I believe that it is legal for motorcyclists to do this in California...

It is. It's also illegal to stick things out your windows without having an orange safety flag on them. Everything the original poster complained about is covered in the DMV driver's handbook, which is required knowledge for operating a motor vehicle.

Can I vote "all of the above?"

Stupid reply. Besides, most motorcyclists suck!!

When riding my BICYCLE I have been passed more times than I care to think about by a motorcycle that was way too close and travelling much too fast to be considered a safe speed.

In my experience, motorcyclists are much more aware of how vulnerable cyclists are, and while I certainly eat (and dish) crap with my motorcycle-riding buddies, there's a certain camaraderie between riders of things on two wheels, and much of this stems from the overall mutual hatred of stupid cagers. While it is true that there are stupid (motor) bikers, the overall level of idiocy is much less than among automobile drivers -- primarily because the stupid ones are courteous enough to get themselves killed when young.

My middle finger is going to look funny with an orange flag hanging off of it. :D (just kidding)

Well, unless this woman is driving a 427/SC Cobra, I seriously doubt that the motorcycle is hindering her in any way. How old do people have to be before they grow up.

The response was lacking in tact too. I doubt that he made her think and change her mind.

Yes, where is the "all of the above" option?

Chris L thinks the only thing Matadon did wrong was responding to a blatant troll. Chris L also reminds Matadon of the copyright implications of third-person posting.

It is legal. It's called lane splitting. It's allowed at low speed and was enacted to cut down on pollution and to improve traffic flow.

I reckon the response was pretty much spot on.

Both the original and the reply are why road rage is alive and well in today's society..

1. why does the original person care that the motorcyclist gets ahead by what 30 seconds.. If something as little as that bothers her enought to RANT, did the motorcyclist really make her life any worst then she is making it herself.

2. Did the person replying really have to be so harsh. Is that person that angry at the world that he can't state his opinion without ripping someone else to shreds..

Oh well, just my 2 cents and not worth a penny more..
