Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've been commuting with this hole in a molar that when sucking in cold air gets it throbbing. Finally, the dentist was able to get me in, turns out it was his work around an old filling. Nice dentist. "Hmm, that shouldn't've happened. Guess I'll have to take it off your bill."
Wish all my dental visits were like that. Only on the ride home, I couldn't tell if my cheek was frozen or not, and I drooled out the corner of my mouth. I just did my best Quasi Moto and continued on.

guh, i had to get two cavaties filled a week ago, and the quack...i mean DENTIST...forgot to numb my top jaw after he did my bottom one, then started drilling. i can't even tell you how much friggin pain i was in. i was close to knocking him out, but i calmed down and he finished up. The ride after that was fun, as i too was drooling every where and dumped half of my water bottle on myself because after his screw up, he numbed me completely up, so i had no idea where my mouth was. fun sh*t!

I rode to the dentist's last Thursday for a filling, he froze the gum & tooth (a back one) without freezing my cheek or lips! As usual, no pain whatsoever! I've been going to the same dentist for 29 years, never any pain (including removal of 4 wisdom teeth!). I'm worried he might want to retire soon!

Am I to understand that your dentist did not finish numbing you, even after you were "close to knocking him out?"
Are you nuts? I hope I misread you. . .you have everyright to stop your doctor and make him make you numb--and so what if it incoveniences him!
