Advocacy & Safety - Denver Cyclist Killed in Hit-And-Run...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I knew things were bad, but this is getting crazy!
No Suspects in Denver Hit-And-Run:

How many have to die? I think a campaign of Public Service Announcements and/or better education of motorists is desperately needed. Any other thoughts?
80's Mustard, dark color, front end damage, got it.
I suspect either a drunk driver, one with a suspended or revoked license, or both. :(

More vermin in cans--can anyone say "final solution" when it comes to DUI's?

I don't seem to be able to view the story on this crap web connection here today. I will say only this. Driver education is a complete waste of time. It's been shown here time and again, that the majority of people are either too stupid or too lacking in morals to understand any kind of message appealing to their sense of how they should behave.
Simply put, we need forced compliance, we need fascist government intervention to weed these maggots off the road -- and we need it now.
Why is it that there are so many drivers out there who are legally allowed to drive even though they've been repeatedly convicted of DUI/DWI 10+ times?
In california, if you're caught with drugs 3 times, they put you away. Ok so I enjoy getting high sometimes and I'm caught they put me away. But I repeatedly put everyone's lives in direct danger hurling a 4000 pound piece of metal down a road over and over again and just you wait, tomorrow, I can wake up and do the same thing all over again.
I think everyone should write to their local official and ask why the easiest way to get away with the MURDER of another human being (especially one you don't like) is to use the "sun in my eyes" defence. If you know it's sunny outside and full of glare, you put on sunglasses or lower the visor. How would you like it if the pilot of your plane knew that the wings were too loaded with ice to move but decided to try the take off anyway? Absolutely ridiculous.

And slow the F**k down!!!
