and decided to ride for old times sake... well now i am pretty terrible, but i had a ton of fun riding again. my bike definatly needs ALOT of work and i really dont want to put any more money into it. So i was looking at the fit street signature, i would like to build a bike but i am trying to stay in the 600$ range so that isnt going to get me too far. any input on the street signature? any other suggestions
i have some time to figure out what i'm going to do anyways becuase I am going to ride what i have for like a month and see if i actually want to stay riding again.

yea...my riding went WAY down hill during my break from riding. i can only hop about wheel/top of the fork height, my manuals are sloppy and it takes a couple trys to get it up and keep it up (have to find my balance point again). and i cant even 180 or anything anymore becuase i get nervous to rotate my head and body some reason. oh well, guess i just need to get used to riding again.
minichamp - haha i didnt even notice that, haha its been a long time since i was active on the forum
eightpack - the popularity of a manufacturer is far from a reason to buy or not buy one of thier products. as for not wanting to be like others...if i want to stand out i will give it my favorite army green/bright orange paint job. other than that there is no point in changeing what isnt broken.... the only things i may change right off the bat would the sprocket so i could get one with a bash guard, and maybie the bars so the bike feels the way i want it to, i would give the stockers a go first

I remember you talking about the army green/orange paintjob. Did you ever paint your bike that color?

yea, i loved the way it came out too. i shoulda took pictures. only thing is i got sick of not having a bike and skipped the clear coating, and i think that is probably the reason the orange faded really bad. now i got black forks on it becuase i bent my other ones i painted so its not even worth taking the picture now.
it was an army green frame, orange bars, forks, crankarms, and sprocket, and seat clamp.
