How can I get involved?

I just purchased a GT ZRX mainly for commuting and some light offroading. I live in Pembroke, Ontario which is north of Ottawa near Algonquin Park. I have never participated in bicycle racing previously but think cyclo-cross would be right up my alley. The question is how does someone without a schmik get invloved??

Wait til Oct for 'cross season, go to nearby race, sign up for a beginner category and race.

You'll want to practice off-road bike handling skills, dismounts and re-mounts, and running while carrying your bike.
