I live near Lafayette, Indiana, home of Purdue University, who are NOT going to the NCAA for the 3rd time in 4 years. Oh well, football starts in Aug. Anyway, Im a converted runner...age and injuries caught up with me. I started biking 9 years ago and did my first ultra event a year after I started...The Crain Strain 12 Hour. Since then I have done several other 12 hour races a some 24 hour races...mainly the National 24 Hour Challenge. I generally ride between 9,000 to 10,000 miles a year. My bike of choice is a custom built Cherry Bomb, built by John Cherry in Lafayette. Last year I bought a Bianchi Pista, and it is highly addictive. Hope to see some of you at the Nationals this year. If any of you are near me and want to do some long rides, give me a shout...it sure does get lonely out there
