Touring - The other Trans Am

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Has anyone ever thought about doing this trans am trail? It's a motorcycle trail but, I'm sure it would be fun on a bike.

It sounds like it would be tough:
"I would NOT recommend any motorcycle smaller than 400cc motor. You need a "Dual-Sport" motorcycle that you can handle through deep sand, mud, loose gravel, rocks and snow."

Interresting. Pretty expensive, though- 93 maps !?! I wish it had more info on the individual sections, like AT- I`d like to see more or less what route it uses to cross my area.
