Northern California - BART bike lockers--Secure?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Anyone here use the keyed BART bike lockers?
I'm considering using one, but I'm wondering about how defeat-proof the locking mechanism is. And whether bikes get swiped out of them on a regular basis.
I wouldn't leave a bike I liked locked up outside a BART station, given the regular thefts, but I'm hoping the lockers would provide reasonable protection.
I recognize the "out of sight" advantage of the lockers, but they also negate my current non-locker strategy of always parking next to a more desireable bike that's locked less securely than mine.

I had my bike stolen from right in front of the station agent's booth at Lafayette on the day I finally got a locker (I got a call from BART and literally had my check in the envelope ready to mail - walked out and went, "Uh... Where's my bike?"). I learned that you have to use both a cable and U lock (I had just a cable).
When I was talking to the BART officer, he said in 15 years he had never heard of anyone losing a bike from one. I would be surprised (not to mention pissed!) if my bike was stolen from the locker - I'm pretty sure that the bike thieves are just looking for an easy score and they can steal a bike from the racks without even drawing any attention to themselves.
I've been using the locker for quite awhile now and I LOVE it!!

Thanks for sharing LanceMach. I guess "out of sight" helps as I suppose the thieves want to know what they're getting for the effort.
Still, I wish the lockers had something inside that you could also lock the bikes to.

FWIW....
I used a BART-type oudoor bike locker for 2 years over at the San Ramon Transit Center. No issues, and they seem to be pretty stout - mine had a barrel-key type lock that looked fairly robust and locked the door top and bottom.

I hope that one isn't bic-able.
