I thought I saw a post on a source for moustache bars, I looked back and couldn't find it. Anybody know a place?

i bought the nitto brand from rivendell but van dessel sells a different set. doesnt seem to have the slight drop of the nitto bars. http://vandesselsports.com/accessories.shtml#ffw

Sorry, they are both ugly and uncomfortable, I hate them and just sold the pair I have had after trying them a couple of years ago. I tried them on 6 different bikes and with different stem lengths and hated them. hope you have better luck.

I know that a lot of people swear by them; I, on the other hand, swear at them. I do so for these reasons:
1. The small space just adjacent to the stem clamp, that is usually associated with riding in the more upright position, is actually to small to get a horizontal grip without twisting your hands outward at the outside edge. Very uncomfortable IMHO.
2. The wide width of the bars splays your hands to far out and makes for an extremely wide shoulder/hands position that is not particularly aero and makes you catch to much air.
3. No matter what stem I used from 50 mm extension thru 100mm in 10 mm increments. They left me with a feeling of having the bars to far back to use them efficiently on climbs, when combined with the odd hand positions they afforded. It seemed that your wrists were always turned in some cockeyed direction.
Other than that I guess they might work for some people who are less sensitive with those issues.
The Ugly issue, I will leave that to others to decide.
