There's a big ol' mountain range not too far Eastward. Lots of snow there.

those triggers are sweet. Somehow I must resist temptation and not buy any more ski stuff this year.

And they're Carbon Fiber!!!!! I'm sooo excited.
X136 is right about that little mountain range to the East. Davis is less than 2 hours to the major Ski Resorts in the Tahoe area. It's much better than the 4 hour drive when I used to live in San Jose, CA. Lately, I've been sticking to Squaw Valley but might expand out the the other resorts this year. Northstar and Heavenly look real nice. I just found out that my Mom's cousin owns a cabin in South Lake Tahoe.

Two mountains opened on Wednesday here in CO
A Bassin and Loveland. I think they only have one run, but they're open.

I read about that . I am feeling the early season stoke after watching a MSP ski film yesterday.
I'm hopeful that I can get the snowboard out this winter and do some carving.

Yeah! I got the new skis two years ago, boots last year, and this was the last piece of the puzzle.

The Trigger S system is where the straps separates from the poll with the push of a button and reconnects by catching a loop on a hook at the top of the pole. The straps stay with your hands all day. Makes it convenient getting on lifts. Can't think of any other reason for it though.
