Hi all, been lurking for a short time (great forum) I'm due to buy a new bike and am interested in these 2 Avanti Blade or Giant elwood anyone have any experience with either?
I am leaning toward the Avanti but can't find any reviews.Its a sports hybrid ultra light with straight bars (lot like a road bike style and weight), It is $200 dollars dearer than the giant wich is more like a standard hybrid and has adjustable bars etc.
I ride for exercise 6 to 7 days a week about 20klm a day, and have just about killed my current mtb (cheapo Target job) and would like something more efficient and durable.

At 20km per day, 6 days per week, I'd highly recommend you look at true road bikes (with the drop bar handlebars). I find them far more comfortable and enjoyable to ride than the hybrid, with many more hand positions on the bars.

I can't really offer much advise on those two bikes - don't really know the Avanti brand all that well, though I can say Giant do make strong frames.

Whatever way you choose to go, buy the bike that is the most comfortable for you to ride and not the one that looks the coolest.
