Cool tail light.... tough install.

Anyone install one of these onto a Tubus (or similar) rack? Did you use spacers or some other solution to move the mount points?

I'd seen the Peter White solution (I bought the light from him) but the more I look at it, the more fragile/vulnerable that spacer option seems.

I'd really like to get two strips of metal about the width and thickness of a popsicle stick but 2 inches long. I'd drill holes at either end and use them to drop the light lower and keep it more "inside" the rack where it will be protected by the rack cage.

I'd considered getting a buddy with a machinist setup to make them for me, but first wanted to see if such parts were commercially available.
