hey everyone, I've been a longtime reader of this forum, and today is especially slow at work so I thought I'd register and actually say something. I live in Baltimore, work and go to school there, and I ride an old trek that I converted to fixed this summer. I'll try and get a picture soon. I'm not a super-athletic rider, I mostly use my bike for city transportation, commuting etc. Since I've started regularly riding to school though (10 mile round-trip) I have been getting a hankering for some long, recreational rides, maybe out in the country somewhere. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and I look forward to actually saying something once in a while.
Welcome indeed. There are no bad fixed gear rides. Just ones of different purpose and length. Look forward to your pics.

Nice shots. Do you live in one of Balto's many boarded-up row houses?

haha no, I live in a rented--but actually rather nice, well-kept up--rowhouse. The building behind the bike is actually our garage, and the mess in the back "yard" (actually a concrete slab) is from the fact that we never go out there and the wind just throws all our crap around. The one positive thing about the concrete "yard" is that I tought myself a trackstand with no one watching!
