The arrogant bastard is cool: image and idea.
But I never understand the identification with brands/products.
Why sell a product on your back?

It is a great scam is'nt it. And we actually pay to advertise! But hey what can you do? I guess I can rip the Nike label off my shoes and the 'Toyota' off my car and the 'Emerson' off my stereo, you know what I mean :p
I believe it's called brand identification or some such thing. You like something so much you want others to see that. A jersey like that will probably open a lot of conversations.

...and bottles of brew!
arrogant bastard ale is a fine beverage. i think another part of the whole wearing a label on your back is also (especially true with smaller companies) wanted to spread the word about them and get them more money if they make a good product that you enjoy. that said, i'm not opposed to company logos on my bikes, but i rarely wear anything but plain white T-shirts, just because i don't feel good about using my torso as a billboard. i'd probably wear that jersey if i drank more of their beer though...if there was a fat tire jersey, i'd rock that for sure.

that's the label for fat tire. it's a very nice tasting beer.
I like my Redhook jersey too. I don't wear it because I want to advertise for them or because I identify with the brand... well okay I somewhat do. But I mainly like it because I like the look of the graphics. Sure it was meant as advertising but logos and such are a bit of artwork in and of themselves. I find them funny, cute, smart and interesting. Who could not like the alien on the Qwisp jersey for instance? I was once waiting for my flight at SLC and ordered a local brew called Polygamy Porter brewed by Wasatch Beers in Park City, UT which had a really great looking label. The beer wasn't bad either. It be neat to get this on a jersey... but I would probably have to hide it from my wife. ;)

Meh. I really don't think about it that way. I just like the jersey.

Thats cool, I saw it in the performance catalog and liked it, its actually pretty good. Also its 10 bucks cheaper than performance.

I am pretty sure I saw one in either Performance or Nashbar...
