Who's in for the Spooktacular in Bakersfield Oct. 25? There are 6 routes from a 20 miler to the famous Hideous Hundred, 109 miles and 10,800' of climbing. Also, a great after ride BBQ, tri-tip, chicken, beans, salad and bread, expertly cooked by "Big Dan the BBQ Man" aka. DanteB. Spooktacular website: http://kernwheelmen.org/spooktacular-alone.php

I've never ridden out in Bakersfield and I dig the jersey too. My Saturday's are all jacked for 6 more weeks though.

I am in, but only for the 20 miler. I am taking the wife and both kids (girl 10, boy 8) and we are making a family road trip out of it.

It is a bike adventure for the family, but I will be inwardly pining for the 100 miles.

I loves me some Century.
