I suppose its only natural to go through some amount of "oh crap" when picking up and relocating. Let me explain my "oh crap" moment....
Monday the big bossman, myself, and one of our partner companies sat down to chat a few things over and get lined up for Tweedle (the new guy I'm training). Any rate, they let me know that the two companies are making a merger and will be going under one roof. The crusty (but very sweet) guy holding the other half of the company sold out to the young, spunky partner company.
cool. they have an awesome crew = more fun @ work!
big business. its going to be huuuge.
they'd been grooming me to move into management and now actually have a role for it:crash:
See, the thing is- ive been at a very small (<10) people at my company, and I've been patiently waiting for it to grow, or for Christ's sake.. do...anything. Now its tripling. Just makes this all a bit harder.
I'm still very optimistic about the new job, CO, etc., and have already let my current company know I'd like to stay involved as a consultant- they're more than eager to get that lined up, so there is a door for me here.
I'm also having issues with the leasing office out in CO. Hope I still have someplace to live when I get there. :( :crash:
